(Carribean Islands.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Different durations\u00a0:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A day<\/li>\n<li>An extended week-end<\/li>\n<li>A few days to one week<\/li>\n<li>A few weeks to a few months<\/li>\n<li>One year or more<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>NB\u00a0<\/strong>: We encourage the organisers of World Holy Name Week to\u00a0 do it, partially or entirely, through a padayatra.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Different organisers:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>One or several devotees<\/li>\n<li>One or several\u00a0 families<\/li>\n<li>One or\u00a0 several\u00a0 temples<\/li>\n<li>One entire yatra<\/li>\n<li>Several yatras from neighboring countries<\/li>\n<li>An independent travelling Padayatra party<\/li>\n<li>Another group not related to ISKCON\u00a0: join walks organised by other groups, religious\u00a0(Ex\u00a0: Pilgrimage to Assisi in Italy, Holy walk in Spain) or not (Ex\u00a0:The annual walkers group in Holland, Days without cars in Bolivia)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>SUGGESTIONS FOR THE EXTENDED WEEK-END PADAYATRA<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>If possible choose a longer week-end, one that includes a legal holiday on Friday, Saturday or Monday. Cars can also be used to drop devotees where the walk \u00a0starts and to pick them up at the end of the walk, which could solve the problem of accomodations for the night.<\/li>\n<li>Friday evening\u00a0: holy name katha followed by a harinama or a mini kirtan mela, preferably at the location where the padayatra will start the next day<\/li>\n<li>Saturday\u00a0: long walk, with an afternoon or evening program for the public (kirtan, bhajans, conference,\u00a0 exhibits, dance, cultural presentations, and prasada distribution)<\/li>\n<li>Sunday\u00a0: start walking early in a place with many people around.
