In one month we\u2019re \u00a0going to start a 3 month Padayatra in Russia. Even though we now have \u00a0a serious economical crisis in the country, \u00a0we are ready to do whatever is takes to make this Russian Padayatra a\u00a0 very good\u00a0 offering for Lokanatha Maharaja and Srila Prabhupada\u2019s pleasure.<\/p>\n

We now have more than 27 padayatris from all over Russia, and one great kirtaniya<\/em>, Mukti Datta Prabhu, will \u00a0also join us. We\u2019re planning to travel around 50 cities and villages doing harinama\u00a0 sankirtana<\/em>, and to also have a bullock cart for some time, \u00a0but for all that we do need some laksmi. \u00a0In order to take care of all these \u00a0padayatris<\/em>, to organize transportation, pay for petrol, and so on, \u00a0\u00a0we need a total $ 5177. It\u2019s an \u00a0average of less than $ 60 a day, which is not much at all considering the number of devotees and the duration of the padayatra.<\/p>\n

During the padayatra we are planning to raise donations by book distribution, and thus hope to cover around $ 2000.\u00a0 So far I raised $ 200 in Russia, which means we still need to raise\u00a0 $ 2977, \u00a0more than half of the total amount needed.<\/p>\n

We are\u00a0 humbly \u00a0appealing to all of you to please make a generous \u00a0donation for this project meant to glorify ISKCON and Srila Prabhupada.<\/p>\n

In a recent interview about Padayatra Russia, Lokanath Swami \u00a0quoted a\u00a0 Newsweek cover\u00a0 stating that\u00a0 Hare Krishna is\u00a0 the fastest growing religion in the former Soviet Union, with around \u00a0100\u00a0000 devotees. He commented that we have to let the Russian people\u00a0 know that the Hare Krishna \u00a0devotees are very good people, friendly people\u00a0 working very hard for everyone\u2019s welfare.<\/p>\n
