That will also save us precious time, which could be used elsewhere in Guru and Gauranga\u2019s service. You will not have to later answer \u00a0the many questions that will come to you afterwards in order to make your article\/report \u00a0interesting, complete and publishable on the Padayatra website or in the Padayatra Worldwide Newsletter.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>GET READY BEFORE PADAYATRA STARTS<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>During your organisational meetings, discuss the topic of reporting and find reliable devotees to do it.<\/li>\n<li>Since all the reports and articles have to be written in English, find someone who can write English decently. Do not worry if he\/she makes mistakes, the texts will be corrected and edited.<\/li>\n<li>You can have more than one reporter. Two or three interested devotees can team up any way they want, combine their notes,\u00a0 compile a report together, etc<\/li>\n<li>I strongly recommend that one devotee keeps a Padayatra diary and makes daily entries.\u00a0\u00a0 (BUY your notebook TODAY\u00a0!)<\/li>\n<li>Choose one devotee (could be the reporter writing reports) to interview devotees on the walk and other people (Officials, hosts, mayors, priests, heads of other temples, etc.). It\u2019s interesting to hear about personal experiences from the devotees and the public.<\/li>\n<li>Translate the Padayatra survey and use it profusely during your walk.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>ARTICLES AND REPORTS<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8211; \u00a0<u>If you write daily\u00a0 in your diary\u00a0:<\/u> enter the following information\u00a0 for every day of your padayatra.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; If pressed for time, use <u>the basic report<\/u>, but it\u2019s better to <u>\u00a0write a more complete \u00a0global report\u00a0, <\/u>by using the following guidelines.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>\u00a0<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><u>What to enter in your report or article\u00a0?<\/u> (Also look at\u00a0 the Basic Padayatra Report)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Give the total itinerary for your entire padayatra ( plus the day to day if you do a diary).<\/p>\n<p>Indicate states, districts or areas,\u00a0 medium and large cities you walked through.<\/p>\n<p>-Who was there\u00a0? \u00a0Names of main devotees, sannyasis, senior devotees or other people involved\u00a0?<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; What did these main devotees do\u00a0?<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Number of devotees walking\u00a0?<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Who were these devotees\u00a0? Members of the padayatra team, devotees from the local<\/p>\n<p>ISKCON center, temple or nama-hatta\u00a0, foreign devotees, visiting devotees, etc\u00a0?<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Proportion of grhasthas, brahmacaris, brahmacarinis, sannyasis, vanaprasthis, children,<\/p>\n<p>families, teen-agers, senior devotees\u00a0?<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Where things happened\u00a0? \u00a0Name of town and district, and exact location.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Brief description of the holy places visited.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;\u00a0 Description of the procession (cart, animals, trolleys, vehicles, banners, loudspeakers, etc)<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Description of festivals, evening programs, visits to schools, members of the congregation, etc.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Special stories: adventures, funny incidents, miracles, danger, etc.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Total book scores (mentionning also which books and magazines were distributed )<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Number of brochures and pamphlets distributed (with brief description of the contents)<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Quantity of prasada distibuted\u00a0?
