Our oxcart padayatra <\/em>took place in and around Kosice, the biggest city in eastern Slovakia. It was held for three days (August 27 to 29) with many local devotees joining us and a few guests. We embarked on the journey with a new cart and wonderful new deities as we visited places surrounding the ISKCON temple of \u2018New Ekacakra\u2019.<\/p>\n

While traveling one day we decided to take a short-cut through a forest and to our surprise we met more people there than we had in the villages. We distributed magazines about Srila Prabhupada and ISKCON\u2019s 50th<\/sup> anniversary. Padayatris <\/em>also distributed packages filled with sweet balls and maha prasadam <\/em>bananas and, of course, most importantly, the holy names. We travelled to six villages and covered approximately 40 kilometers together. I am grateful to all the devotees that participated \u2013this padayatra <\/em>would not have been possible without them.<\/p>\n
