Kollam, formerly known as Desinganadu, is an old seaport city located on the coast of the Laccadive Sea in the state of Kerala, South India. Our party stayed there for two days preaching in the nearby areas. Kerala is a very favorable place for book distribution, and we distributed many books while there. We also pre-ordered a lot of ‘Back to Godhead’ (BTG) magazines in the local language to distribute. We distributed so many BTGs that by Nitai Gaurasundar’s mercy our ‘All India Padayatra’ was ranked second biggest distributors of BTGs in that language. A disciple of Jayapataka Swami, who is a jeweler, was ranked number one distributor in that language.

Pleasant encounter

On the way to Kollam we were searching for a place have prasadam. We looked everywhere but couldn’t find a good spot. Then we saw a Muslim man standing at the entrance of his house. I hesitated at first but I spoke to him anyway. “Can we have prasadam here?” I asked. To my surprise he agreed and welcomed us, in fact he even sat and had prasadam with us. Afterwards he took some books from us too. This is how their Lordships transform everyone’s hearts. Actually, all we do is walk. They are the ones who show us the way and guide us.

Help from the police

The roads in Kerala are very small and are always busy. One day we were caught in traffic that was two to three kilometers long. Other people around us were agitated and they started to shout at us. Suddenly a group of policemen appeared and gave us way. We were really surprised because after giving us way, all those people who were shouting at us became calm when they saw Sri Sri Nitai Gaurasundar. This proves that the Lord wants His mission to go on, so there is no wasting time. In all situations He sends us help.

Jai Nitai Gaurasundar ki!
