On August 22nd<\/sup> our p\u0101da-y\u0101tr\u0101 party was in Payyanur, Kerala. Located in the Kannur District the town is situated on the banks of the river Perumba. The town has a \u2018Sri Subrahmanya Swami\u2019 temple believed to be constructed by Lord Parasurama, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu Himself. There are many references to the temple and town in the \u2018Hindu Puranas\u2019. In the \u2018Brahmanda Purana\u2019 both the temple and town are mentioned by Garga Muni in his explanation of the land of Kerala to the Pandavas during their exile (vanavasa). \u00a0We visited this temple, took dar\u015bana and performed sa\u1e45k\u012brtana in the courtyard.<\/p>\n Happy Kids<\/strong><\/p>\n While in Payyanur we were asked to do a program at a school. We travelled there with our p\u0101da-y\u0101tr\u0101 cart and had a small class and sa\u1e45k\u012brtana for the children who happily participated. Afterwards we distributed pras\u0101dam with the Muslim students honoring pras\u0101dam as well. Later that evening we held Gaura \u0100rati with many of our Muslim brothers joining us, and they even bought books from us afterwards. This is how the mercy of the Lord extends everywhere.
