Palanquins, sa\u1e45k\u012brtana and pras\u0101dam<\/strong><\/p>\n We started walking from Stork Place in Lotus Park and proceeded for 2.5 kilometres along a main street for maximum exposure. The p\u0101da-y\u0101tr\u0101 procession was headed by a beautifully decorated palanquin carried by the devotees. The palanquin was transformed into an exquisite mobile temple when Srila Prabhupada was seated on top, in front of our most beautiful Sri Sri Nityananda and Gauranga Mahaprabhu deities. Our sa\u1e45k\u012brtana party danced and chanted enthusiastically along the way and there were many people who came out of their homes to take dar\u015bana of Their Lordships. On either side of the road where teams of devotees distributing pras\u0101dam sweets and Srila Prabhupada\u2019s books \u2013and bringing up the rear was our \u2018Food For Life\u2019 team freely distributing hot meals to everyone we met. The local municipality gave support by providing two police vehicles to escort the p\u0101da-y\u0101tr\u0101. We ended the walk at a devotees house, where we all honoured pras\u0101dam together.<\/p>\n During the p\u0101da-y\u0101tr\u0101 we distributed approximately 100 books, unfortunately, one of our sa\u1e45k\u012brtana book bags went missing so we aren\u2019t sure of the exact number; and \u2018Food For Life\u2019 distributed 600 plates of hot pras\u0101dam.<\/p>\n
