During the spiritual journey of the Maharashtra Padayatra, the sacred festival of Sri Krishna Janmashtami was celebrated in Karad in the district of Satara, in an atmosphere filled with devotion and spiritual joy. The festival was organised at the residence of Sant Sakhubai, a revered figure of Maharashtra’s saintly tradition, situated on the banks of the holy Krishna River.
Devotees gathered at this spiritually significant location to celebrate the divine appearance day of Lord Sri Krishna with great faith, devotion, and happiness. The programme was enriched with Harinama Sankirtana, Krishna-katha, bhajans, and kirtana, filling the entire atmosphere with transcendental joy and devotion.
On this auspicious occasion, Sriman Sri Shreesh Prabhuji from Vrindavan graced the gathering and gave a beautiful Srimad-Bhagavatam class, sharing the timeless teachings and glories of Lord Sri Krishna with the devotees and pilgrims. Celebrating Janmashtami at such a sacred place connected with Maharashtra’s rich saint tradition was a deeply special and spiritually uplifting experience for the padayatris.
Through the Maharashtra Padayatra, the devotees continue to carry the message of Sri Harinama and Krishna-bhakti from village to village, spreading the timeless teachings of Lord Sri Krishna and inspiring people to take shelter of the Holy Name.
