By Dhanya Chaitanya Dasa (Maharashtra Padayatra)

I had the great fortune of participating in the 2026 Hare Krishna Wari (also called dindi) from Dehu to Pandharpur, where the Maharashtra Padayatra has been taking place for many years. This was my first participation in the Dehu to Pandharpur Padayatra, and the experience was deeply inspiring and joyful.

During the journey, I had the opportunity to meet with my spiritual master, Lokanath Maharaja. He personally spoke with me for about 10 to 15 minutes and asked about the Padayatra, how it was progressing, how the devotees were doing, and from which states and countries devotees were coming to participate. His genuine interest, affection, and enthusiasm for the Padayatra deeply touched me. He had very little time and many devotees were eagerly waiting to see him. Nevertheless, his words and encouragement gave us great strength and inspiration. We could clearly feel his affection and concern for the Padayatra and for all the devotees engaged in this service.

This year’s Ashadhi Wari and journey to Pandharpur gave us a completely different and very special experience. Padayatra leaders and devotees from different parts of the country came together, and we could see how enthusiastically everyone was serving to please Lokanath Maharaja. His inspiration has given us a strong determination to expand the Padayatra movement. Maharaja’s seventy-seventh Vyasa Puja celebration was another extremely joyful and memorable occasion. It was wonderful to see Padayatra devotees and leaders coming together with a common desire to serve and please the spiritual master. His vision has inspired us to take the Padayatra to more and more places.

He has inspired us to start Padayatras in every state, every district, and every taluka, so that the Holy Names can reach every village and every community. This has become a strong aspiration among all the Padayatra devotees. We are ready and eager to take up this service with enthusiasm. Another noteworthy moment this year was the opportunity given to all the Padayatra devotees to go onto the stage during the Vyasa Puja festival. Normally, such opportunities are given to Padayatra leaders, but many Padayatra devotees had always felt that one day they too should get the opportunity to stand with the spiritual master on the stage and represent the Padayatra.

By the mercy of Sri Krishna Chaitanya Swami Maharaja, the Kirtan Ministry, and the Padayatra Ministry Media Team, this long-awaited opportunity was given to us. It was an unforgettable and emotional moment for all the Padayatra devotees.  Standing together on the stage, we felt that we were not merely a group of Padayatra devotees. We represented a growing movement with a shared determination to take the Padayatra to every state, every district, every taluka, and ultimately every village. We are deeply grateful to our spiritual master for his constant inspiration, encouragement, and vision. We are also sincerely thankful to Sri Krishna Chaitanya Swami Maharaja, the Kirtan Ministry, and the Padayatra Ministry Media Team for giving  us this wonderful opportunity and encouraging the Padayatra devotees.

With the blessings of Guru and Gauranga, we pray that we may remain sincere instruments in this service and continue spreading the Holy Names far and wide.

All glories to Srila Prabhupada!

All glories to Guru Maharaja!

Hare Krishna!
