On 15 August 2026, ISKCON Nagpur in Maharashtra, through the ISKCON Girls Forum (IGF), held a Vaishnavi Padayatra, a one-day spiritual procession exclusively for girls and women.
With the blessings of ISKCON’s Founder-Acarya, His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada, and our spiritual master, Lokanath Maharaja, the padayatra began and concluded at the Shri Laxmi-Narayan Mandir in Sakkardara, the devotees walking through various parts of the city while chanting the Hare Krishna maha mantra and singing devotional bhajans.
The primary objective of the padayatra was to spread the message of peace, compassion and Krishna consciousness. Dressed in traditional attire, participants carried devotional flags and inspired the public with the timeless teachings of Lord Krishna, encouraging everyone to cultivate kindness, humility and respect for all living beings. The vibrant procession created an atmosphere of joy, spirituality and unity throughout the route.
More than a religious gathering, the Vaishnavi Padayatra was a meaningful initiative to promote harmony, spiritual awareness, and the values of Krishna consciousness. The event concluded with special prayers and the distribution of prasadam, leaving participants and devotees spiritually enriched and inspired to embrace a life of devotion and selfless service.
